This website is the culmination of many hours of schooling, studying, researching,
hard work and perseverance. It contains several pages to demonstrate my newly developed
ability to write C# code, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL Server. Please feel free

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting. I took
those skills and found a job at a company called Harmon Industries. Soon, I was
promoted to Mechanical Engineer and worked there for nearly five years. Several
people, including myself, were laid off during their takeover from General Electric.
I then found another job six weeks later at Interconnect Devices, Inc. I worked
there for nine years until I was laid off again due to the economic downturn. I
spent nearly two months looking for a job until my wife brought home a Kansas City
Journal that contained various lists of companies according to category. One of
those lists was "Top IT training centers". This is where I discovered Centriq Learning
Center.
I quickly signed up for their Applications Development track. I had always felt
that computer programming would be something I would really enjoy, ever since I
was involved in a brief computer course in junior high, tinkering around with a
Commodore 64, or was it a 128. Regardless, I discovered how much I love computer
programming, despite the fact that it's come a long way since entering DOS commands.
I enjoyed every minute of my training at Centriq, and realized that it had been
quite a long time since I looked forward to Monday mornings. I have a craving to
learn more ASP.NET and C# and have a real passion for website development.
The goal of this website along with my various projects and the link to my
"playground" site is to get a job as a Junior Software Developer with a
company I enjoy working at, with hopes that my new employer will aid in improving
my skills, and that I can contribute those skills in a huge, useful way. With several
years under my belt, I hope to become an IT manager with the ability to guide new
junior developers to a successful career in web applications.
